You have to admit that there is a magic that cannot be captured in a farmed forests that you find in natural forests.

I see miles and miles of newly planted forests all around me. That is certainly better than the scars left by the clear cuts. I don't care how much, as a consumer, I have to pay for a 2X4. Replanting is the only option.

I am pretty impressed with tree farming especially out on the Olympic Peninsula. We have acres and acres of valley land dedicated to poplar trees around me. The paper industry has done a good job of insuring that we will all benefit from this renewable resource.

I hope that all industry finds ways to enhance our environment while they conduct their business. Organizations have been set up by concerned individuals to ensure that this concern is addressed. That is a good thing imo.
