"You can try a feeder with a smaller opening with smaller seed."

My feeder is designed for smaller birds & has a smallish opening with short perches. It only stops the largest Black birds & Grackels. The medium sized ones can contort themselves enough to shovel out large amounts of seed that falls onto the ground where all the Black birds & Grackels gather. Meanwhile they strongly discourage any smaller birds from coming around until they have had their fill....... generally after the feeder is empty.

Squirrels aren't a problem for me here. I get chipmunks & rabbits who tend to feed on the ground. No problem for me as I enjoy all wildlife........... I just wish to discourage the Grackels & Black birds from being such mean pigs.

I make my own mix. I start with a premium mix that includes only seeds that most birds prefer (No white proso millet & other crap that most bird feed includes & most birds won't eat. This allows the manufacturer to give the appearance that their bird seed is less expensive. In reality it helps them to keep costs down while they unload useless seeds to the consumer). I add sunflower & safflower (which is already in the premium mix, but this is preferred by song birds & Cardinals, so I don't mind the expense.) cracked corn & occasionally some niger (thistle) seed.

I used to have multiple feeders mice elf. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to buy 150+ lbs of feed monthly anymore. I now only have one regular feeder & one Goldfinch feeder with niger seed.

Blackbird problems? How about a shot gun? How about letting them scare everything away so they can eat their poisoned feed without anybody else dying; when they leave, switch feed. Trained hawk? Trained cat? Species specific STDs? Bigger cardinals? Attack finches? Oh, of course, silver crosses.
