My experience is that, if my portfolio gets spun at a high enough rpm in the macro centrifuge, almost everything turns into ugly sludge at the bottom of the tube. The only thing that reliably stays afloat in the supernatant, is cash. Unfortunately, the speed on this centrifuge is controlled by a drunk monkey on Prozac, so I have no control over the spin.
