Portugal Telecom makes a decision on the migration of Telesp Celular to GSM If true, this would be disastrous for CDMA in Latin America. However, it's hard for me to see the rationale for such a move. Most of Telefonica's Latin America properties are CDMA. This is going to have to be watched closely. The news in Argentina is unbelievably grim. The telecom world has been lucky that it hasnt spread to the rest of Latin America. The balance sheet of the vendors couldnt survive that. Slacker
