Correct but it was AFTER WWII when all nations felt some guilt. Today not so sure that will pass. Just see the votes from Durban SA.

The League of Nations voted to form the state of Israel in 1947. I have never seen a breakdown of the vote, but it was a majority. If the world was against the Jews, that would not have happened.

1. It was a bare majority
2. Some rules of 'normal' world operation were suspended in the immediate aftermath of the Holocaust. Everything's back to 'normal' now.
