The arabs aren't going to help us against Iraq. in fact, it's quite the opposite: They will side with Iraq against us and that includes both the Saudis and the Kuwaitis whose bacon we saved 11 years ago.

You don't really expect any loyalty from them? Do you?

I read all of your post, and thought about it. I would say to you: Yes, President Bush called for a withdrawal, but he gave no timetable. He also said that "The Palestinian people deserve better leaders." He also said this as concerns the rest of the Middle East!

Now, I believe these statements are amazing and so much needed. The American President just made it clear that America agrees with Prime Minister Sharon's policy of isolating and making irrelevant Arafat and his murderous subordinates.

If you believe otherwise, you misread this speech. Secretary Powell is coming to negotiate with the Palestinian people - not with their corrupt, murderous leaders.
