The 8 out of 100 represents those that actually voted. GWB fared worse among African-Americans than any other Republican candidate for president in the 20th century with the sole exception of Barry Goldwater, who got only 4% of the black vote.

What's happened besides 9-11? I don't think there's going to be any change whatsoever in voting patterns in the mid-term election this November. If anything, we'll probably see more whites voting Republican and more minorities voting Democratic.

The racial split in America is quite real. In other words, there's a reason that 39 of the 40 African-American members of the U.S. House are Democratic.
