success was defined by intel (I am not going to look for proof) as regaining the market share that was lost during last few years. Amd was at around 5% few years back. 5% is not enough to sustain cpu business and hence that would mean pushing amd out of cpu.
are you following so far or is it way too hard?
If intel, barrett, would apply recourses of intel to do that he would probably push amd out of business but unfortunately he is responsible to shareholders
