I wouldn't say "the sooner the transform into a services provider". Many companies have failed in earning good money on such a transition - I would say "the sooner they manage to earn money on services, the better it is for the shareholders".

And when it comes to services, there is already big competition in the enterprise IT sector, and the consumer sector isn't used to pay that much money for services, yet.
