Hi bacchus_ii; Re: "Case of East Timor, Argentine and Contras seem as bad as current situation." While it is true that the current situation isn't as bad as East Timor or (maybe) Argentina, this is not the context in which my statements were made.

East Timor is an out of the way place, Israel is not. What happens in obscure places in the world isn't of much interest to the US. I'm not trying to paint the US as cold hearted, but the facts are that if reporters don't report on it, it might as well not have ever happened.

This is not a matter of morality, it's a matter of practicality.
