Not anymore, the world has changed with the Internet, now
it is much easy to hear the story from the "other" side.

Clinton made a praiseworthy effort, but he didn't ratify the deal---through no fault of his own. The problem is Arafat and his insincere desire for peace. His goal is to roll back Israel in to the sea, not peaceful side by side Palestine and Israel countries. The Clinton deal gave Arafat over 95% of what he "ostensibly" wanted, but he still turned it down.

In addition, Arafat only has two job headings under the experience category on his resume---gangster and terrorist. Experience in these fields doesn't qualify him to run a peaceful, productive country and he knows it. Too late for this old fart to change his stripes.

Just my humble, unsubstantiated opinion,

Huey

OT...>>But generally it doesn't happen because the winner writes the history. <<<

jerome i did not write that

<<Arafat is a dictator...no doubt about it....but he outlived those other Palestineans, that were killed, assassinated, murdered, liquidated, vaporized or politically eliminated over the years by Israeli, America, Syrian, or Egyptian politicians . >>

Don't you think arafat kills his potential Palestinian adversaries ??

<<The Israeli's ( Sharon) have an obsession with Arafat the same way Bush has an obsession with Sadam Hussain. This is like walking through the green door. Do we really want to find out what is on the other side??? >>

Can you blame them? Arafat has been killing Jews for 38 yrs. not sure what you mean by the door thing.

<<I think Bush ought to start paying attention to the situation in the Middle East. >>

Bush was scheduled to speak to the UN on Sept 14, 2001 and call for an autonomous Palestinian state. That would have been a milestone in the whole mess. But we know what happened Sept 11.
