Elmer, you might be right about that loophole in wording, but my first impression, given the micro-architectural enhancements of Hammer, is that it should achieve better than a SPECint score of 800-900. I think that closer to 1000 sounds more reasonable, but mine is just a WAG.

Another thing to consider is that Hans De Vries, the same guy that estimated a 1300 on Hammer SPECInt, also estimates a 650 for McKinley, which I think is conservative. I wouldn't have expected him to overestimate Hammer so much, given his other conservative estimates on other cores, so maybe Hammer will surprise us.
