Are you talking about supporting desktop chips in mobile designs? Won't that simply account for the small percentage of desktop replacement designs that can tolerate the much greater power dissipation? What about the vast majority of corporate lines, thin and light, and battery conscious segments that have no desire to use desktop parts? It sounds like the Pentium 4-M, as well as the Pentium III-M, is still going to be a big part of the mobile market for the rest of the year. Desktop parts can't satisfy more than a small niche market. I think you are being far too melodramatic. wbmw

Another once "sacred INTC turf" besieged by AMD superior price/performing product... By the way, AMD states in their Annual Statement that the new accounting rules for Goodwill will have no material effect on AMD...Wonder what INTC will have to say, in this regard, about their $5 billion in Goodwill upon q1 release!!! Might be tough to hide this one, even for INTC!!!
