What I am trying to do is show the logical consequence of the combination of the Israeli / Palestinian situation and the actions of the two parties.

The point I was trying to make earlier, Carl, is that in addition to the lack of morality in the course you laid out, it is grossly impractical, it is its own worst enemy. You picture it as a two combatant picture. The problem is that it is played out against the great backdrop of global television. The level of global anger against the Israelis, should they take that tact, would be enormous. The consequences for them would be almost devastating. And, unfortunately, would only decrease their level of security. And do so dramatically.

This is not a matter of morality, it's a matter of practicality. Having a tiny Jewish state in the midst of a solidly Moslem Holy Land is
impractical. The Palestinians know this, and they know that eventually they will achieve dominion over that land. If the Israelis were
smart they would recognize this too, and start negotiating to create a single democratic government, blind to religious differences.

We may have cast our fate to the wind here in America by declaring a government blind to religious differences. To do so in this instance will appear to be insanity to many (too many, I'm afraid) considering you are surrounded by Islamic governments that are the antithesis of democracy and pluralism, let alone tolerance. What will become of Hamas and others? Will they be dealt with later, or if sooner, how? They may stop if they envision an internal destruction of Jews through Islamic oppression via demographics and eventual overthrow of democratic reforms. Or we all may get lucky and they will set an example. Well, it's a fine thought.....and resembles in some, but not all ways black civil rights movements of the 60's.
