Actually, the opposite of following one's bliss.....

Well one's mans reason virtue and vigilance is another man's bliss !

;-)

Shouldn't life be blissful?

Liberty be blissful ?

Happiness be blissful ?

After some 225 yrs , if not for a little "Bliss" out there on the horizon over God's country , then ---->what as it all for Neo ? To be the world's largest consumers
be cause we are it's largest benefactor & truest democracy ? But what really has changed from before?
What did we learn from this great experiment so far ?

And vigilance, temperance, dedication , sacrifice and virtue go hand in hand , and are the precursors of one order of bliss...surely there was something greater to come out of all that sacrifice , and Freedom such a Chimera for centuries fell into our hands at last in a land that was greater than the Conquistadores ever knew.

(not the imagined "pie in the sky Bliss " , but the one right down here on Earth)

....there once was a revolution...life , liberty and the pursuit of _____? :

" That quintessential revolution is that of the spirit, born of an intellectual conviction of the need for change in those mental attitudes and values which shape the course of a nation's development. A revolution which aims merely at changing official policies and institutions with a view to an improvement in material conditions has little chance of genuine success. Without a revolution in spirit, the forces which had produced inequities of the old order would continue to be operative, posing a constant threat to the process of reform and regeneration. It is not enough merely to call for freedom, democracy and human rights. There has to be a united determination to persevere in the struggle, to make sacrifices in the name of enduring truths, to resist the corrupting influences of desire, ill will, ignorance, and fear.

If it's OK with you , I'll follow my Bliss.
