One man's "temperate discussion" is another man's "denunciation or aggressive ridicule" in religious matters, Neo. I believe we all know that. The structure on which religion is built (faith) is so flimsy that any any questioning of it is regarded as dangerous by its vested interests. Their response is commonly "denunciation or aggressive ridicule" of those who are doing the questioning. Church sermons commonly consist of little but attack upon unbelievers in an attempt to keep the flock from straying. You seem to resent what you regard as "denunciation or aggressive ridicule" directed against religion on this site. To those who would put religion out of bounds to either discussion or attack, I say "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
