Nemer, Most of my bets are comic. <g>

I don't bet the Pick Six either. I'm not really into daily doubles or pick threes either. There is something so depressing about a multi-horse race that you lose after the first race. But I have also been burned by so many late scratches. And, of course, I like to watch the post parade to make certain they all have four legs. I am not much of a "look handicapper," but I do like to add it in. So far, a lot of the bromides of the eyeball crowd haven't proven true for me. Horses that are all lathered up don't seem to do much better or worse than their charts would indicate. One guy at our track likes to bet on horses that look like they've shown up for work and aren't excited about it. Another likes the ones that look like they've had a speed highball. I have been asked for spare change by both. <g>

I did not see the OP "classix." But I can just imagine hitting the pick six and getting a lousy payoff. It ticks me off when it happens on an exacta. On a pick six, I would be in a murderous spirit. <g>
