OTOTOT

Just an innocent question here, so don't get mad. Jordan is 90% Palestinian. Why don't the Palestinians go there where they might be welcomed with open arms? I understand the Palestinians are fighting on principle now and that Israel is an aggressor, although I do feel Israel has put up with enough terrorism over the last 50 years, but why is it that the Palestinians have rejected every offer of peace ever given them? In my mind, the best route is to accept an offer of peace even if they don't get 100% of what they want. And then slowly over time, they can bring to bear political pressure to get the remaining items on their list. What can they possibly hope to achieve with this "give us everything we want or nothing at all" approach? I mean it's like the school dweeb shooting spitwads at the school bully. They are asking for a butt-kicking, so they shouldn't be so surprised when they get it. Terrorism and suicide bombing don't get you anywhere over the long term.

One other thing, if I was a Palestinian and I had a choice over which form of government I could choose, Israel's which comes with democracy and freedom and a good job, or Palestine's which comes with a dictator more concerned about financing terrorism than meeting the government payroll, I think the choice would be easy for me. Why is it that these Palestinians are so adamant about throwing away their one chance for freedom, democracy, and a good living? There was a time when Palestinians lived side by side with Israelis and they made a good living off the wealth that Israel was creating in the region. But they spat on that and now look where it's gotten them.

I have a feeling the pales could do a lot better than Arafat for representation. Arafat never has and never will accomplish anything for them, excpet keep them down.
