Les, THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Government is just out of control! Tell you, so many of the statistics are so skewed by government overhiring and spending - again FIAT MONEY AT WORK. I know many of you are tired of hearing about FIAT MONEY - but you have to look into this, it is out of control the printing of the dollar!! And it has to work against the system sooner rather than later!

The dollar once was a store of value, now it is holding DEBT!

Yeah, the state numbers don't exactly jive with the fed numbers. I looked up CA and Texas the other day.

Here's CA P&L Feb 2002 Actual vs. Projected
dof.ca.gov

Here's an overview on March
dof.ca.gov

Looks like Sales Taxes are down about 10-15% YOY statewide.

Here's 2000-2001 P&L
treasurer.ca.gov

I thought I saw a 2001 versus 2002 YOY report but I'll try to find it again.
I'll try to post the state Sales Tax numbers for a couple of the big states before the upcoming retail sales number. I looked at

treasurer.ca.gov

I think it's great that the Fed is adding McJobs because the private sector isn't. And to add to what westpacific said, the big US companies with the help of the US Congress are sending the better paying tech jobs to India, Pakistan, Novisibirsk, and Jersualem as fast as they can.
