If it's been downgraded to junk then why is it still trading at a PE above 50. And don't tell me PEs are meaningless at the "bottom" cos I am not using "Bottom" PEs to come up with that figure. I am using 1yr+ forward BS analyst optimistic pro forma numbers.

I thought bond holders, even holders of triple-C-minus bonds, still higher claim to company assets than stock holders ;-)

LOL that is all it has been (junk) for the last 5 years but it is just since 2000 that people woke up and smelled the roses. The main problem is .... what is one of them worth? You can't tell for sure. They look cheap compared to the OLD prices but are they? I think not for the most part. They have given the companies away to the top exec's and employees at the expense of the investor.

I agree with Mary. CEO or CFO is the best spot, even now, I think they even get the company to buy their 'insurance'.
