The problem is that the REAL crooks will never be touched. Meaning the big banks and brokerages that help the likes of Enron et al. As the the SEC...they are a non entity as far as I am concerned. They are screaming now only because they were forced into it. Plus, they will holler for a larger budget. I laugh as some of the fines levied on the likes of MER, SSB, etc. A pittance compared to what they make through manipulation...and I really laugh when they pay the fine but "admit to no wrong doing". mary PS Oops. The flying wedgie just boomeranged again.
