Interesting. If I had said that "intelligent liberals...became neoconservatives a long time ago", that would have been an attack, by implying that no intelligent person could be a contemporary liberal. However, what I said was ".....mostly became neoconservatives a long time ago", which implies that an indeterminate number of intelligent liberals continue to be liberal. That is what blunts the statement, and makes it qualify as a poke......
