I think you've done a pretty good job of educating the outsiders on the thread to the Israeli version of the particulars.

Did you see the Frontline report last night, Nadine? Excellent journalism, though not much on policy. One thing that struck me was the care and solicitude to civilians the Israelis exercised when they took down known terrorist killers. The Apache helicopters fire rockets with low explosive charges to limit collateral damage. Whenever a house is raided, there are attempts to get women and children out to limit injuries. Stark contrast with the homicidal bombers. If you get a chance, I highly recommend that you see the "renovated" version of Apocalypse Now. Tremendous insights into the insanity of terror and how the only truly effective way to deal with it is to act in the same abominable manner except increased by a factor of ten. Could explain the current Israeli failure. I hope it never gets to that, but you never know.
