Tench, Re: Jews were responsible for numerous acts of terrorism against the Germans. That's why the Nazis did what they had to do. Unfortunately that's exactly what the Nazis were telling the German population. They were some alleged Jewish "terrorist attacks" (e.g. a murder of a high-ranking German diplomat in France) and when they invaded Poland it was only for defense purposes to stop Polish attacks on German soil. They even get to the lengths to fake a Polish "terrorist raid" on a German boarder guard. Did you never hear of the famous phrase "Seit 5 Uhr schießen wir zurück?" ("Since 5am we are shooting back")? That started the Second World War. I hope humanity has become smarter in the last fifty years. Andreas

Ten unfortunately, many Europeans are for terrorism against Israel Message 17291998 srangely enough Russian public opinion is turning away from arafat. Russians papers traditionally supported PLO but now some of them say that plo showed itself as true terrorist movements and Israel should simply wipe them out. Regards -Albert

Any opposition the Jews showed the Nazis was like a pin prick in comparison to the extermination of 6 million in the camps. I really hope that people thinking like you are a minority in the U.S. Why? We are not immune to fear, to xenophobia, to the dark side of nationalism. Its times like these that we need to review and understand the principles of democracy and the teachings of our religions because history has shown us that its at times like these that those principles and teachings are most often challenged. ted
