I also think objectives are different. There is a definite malevolence and ill will in some peer related posting that I hope was not present in my posting to Neo, and I am sure was not present in yours, Karen. I think it is that ill will, coming from numerous persons, which generates (for me) the negative group dynamic of the "en masse". It is when defending the "side" becomes more important than any point, or points under discussion. Such goings on are also normally marked by name calling, which I don't think went on here- although I don't read all the posts- but most of them seemed pretty reasonable. I think of a wolf pack as search and destroy. I don't see the discussion here today as uncivil- although I may have missed posts that were. And I hope none of mine were taken as uncivil. They certainly weren't meant that way.
