A hawk attacked last week and grabbed a squirrel from our yard. Dan called me to come watch while the hawk struggled to carry the poor squirrel away, but he just couldn't do it and the squirrel finally fell. Then Myers, who was just furious as he has a running battle with the squirrels in our front yard and resented the interference, ran over and tried to drag the squirrel away while the hawk divebombed him until he had to give up. It was just like a WWII movie. Dan declined to appear in it though, when I tried to cast him as emergency medic and battlefield hearse driver. The squirrel was gone the next day. Life is exciting in the spring on our little acre. I must go. Goodnight gracie.
