wbmw, no apology needed. I'd like to point out that the code behind this app runs 24/7 on an app server that server this report to our web site so it's very important that it's fast. The wilamette was a totally inacceptable solution for us. The code does not have any specific optimizations for any platform other than the Pentium switches. It's just a very memory/FPU intensive piece of software. These are the apps that developers write every day for corporate america not the streaming benchmarks and ridiculously optimized 3d engine benchmarks. We don't have the time nor the tools to optimize every app we write, it would make corporate software development too costly. It's easier to amortize the cost of optimization on a 3d game engine when you sell thousands of copies and when your sales numbers depend on the speed of your code. Corporate software development is about robustness and delivery timetables. C
