Palestinians are people like you and me -- it just that the circumstances that they live in are so miserable that some of them only see terrorism as a solution. There would be certainly still some terrorist attacks even after the foundation of a new state, respected by Israel. But in the long term I think it would slowly "dry" out as perspectives improved for the Palestinians.

It was offered to them two years ago, and really was turned down for the same reason Jordan wasn't allowed to formally annex the West Bank in '71!
