Whitepine, I would prefer to have LT gains, but I'm taking what the market is willing to give. If it's ST, then so be it.

My only patch play of late was PGO. I played it strictly with the technicals. It gave me a 20% plus gain in two days and the technicals suggested I take the profits. So who am I to argue with the technicals and my pet monkey, Sivle?

I have better than a 40% profit in my portfolio YTD and I did it staying 30% in cash. I could quit now and beat most people and the indexes for the year. I don't see a need to get cute or to be aggressive. I'll let the technical indicators tell me what to do or I'll do nothing.

Oh, I forgot. I did short SEI the other day. I was stopped out with a 3% loss in less than an hour. I suppose if I held, I would have eventually been proven right, but that's in hindsight. Better to let it go, protect capital and have some peace of mind, as opposed to averaging into the stock, in order to try and lower the cost basis, and maybe still be wrong. If the markets were rising, I'd feel and think differently.

Gotta take what the market's willing to give.
