an agreement that it was reasonable to treat people's religious beliefs with "seriousness." I can live with that, as long as we distinguish between seriousness and solemnity. If we start getting solemn, I'm out of here. Personally I think a bit of ridicule, particularly of that which is demonstrably ridiculous, is all part of the natural give and take of things. These devices are available to those on all sides of the debate. I'd rather see less discussion of rules and more good arguments.
