LOL ! The nice thing about our current status as the world's reigning superpower is that "victory" is whatever we say it is... We have the option (if we can cleanse the profiteers and parasites from our system) to declare "victory" now, after routing the Taliban and bombing the bejeezus out of the rubble. We can then get on to the work of cleaning out the terrorism funding flows through deviant totalitarian regimes, finding alternative energy, conservation, and alternate petroleum resources. And of being an uninvolved honest broker in disputes in India/Paki and Israel/everybody else. Make public all monies and deals. Jail the war profiteers. Now, there would be a victory worth having. A victory everyone could agree on, I would think (except warlords and profiteers, of course).
