The Paki/India nuke thing - we're being prepared for a bit of nuclear unpleasantness.

If I were a suspicious person, I might think that the only way a fascist operation can keep power in the face of the internet is by escalating the fear factor.

Good thing I'm not suspicious.

Unfortunately, reading "The Police State" last night recalled how Nazis very deliberately increased the fear factor to get and retain the support of German citizens, making sure things got and stayed violent.

That doesn't mean it isn't a violent world out there.

It does mean we need to avoid becoming a party to the violence of others, and defend ourselves at home.

It makes me suspicious when we become the Nanny to the world, then the cop to the world, then Supreme Master of the World, which is where we are heading. That's good the for the masters of the Master, but not so good for the citizens of the cities of the US. Only the citizens want safety.
