In February you made it clear your position on gun control.

Now your position has become different?

Steve, not at all. Where do you see that I said that?

And you believe that if you take every weapon and lock up every member of Hamas and Al Aqsa and every other terrorist group that that would be the end. If so, I don't think you understand the root of the problem and how pervasive the unrest is. If you better want to understand, go to some of the largest cities in this country and see the extent to which gangs rule the inner city. I suspect the spawning ground for gangs in this country is similar to and just as fertile as the ground for terrorists in the Middle East.

Now you say taking away all of the terrorist's weapons would not make any difference.

What I did say is that eliminating both the terrorist and his weapon will not end terrorism, implying that there will be another terrorist to take his place and that only when the conditions that spawn terrorism are eliminated will terrorism stop.

Are you against gun control for the terrorists, but you are for gun control for law-abiding Americans?

First, its a myth that Americans who own guns are all law abiding citizens.........many are not. Two, I do not think taking the weapon away from a terrorist will take away his/her desires that led her/him to be a terrorist. However, taking a weapon away from "a law abiding" American will reduce the chances of his/her killing his family with that weapon or it accidentally going off and maiming or killing a child or using that weapon to rob a 7/11. Gun control will not eliminate the problem in the US but will help to reduce it. Sorry that you don't see it that way.

Now, what are the chances of you maintaining the dialogue instead doing your typical stealth post and then splitting? I, for one, would like to hear more about what you have to say.
