TSX bulletin 2002-1234

The Toronto Stock Exchange has accepted a notice of intention from Global
Thermoelectric Inc. to make a normal course issuer bid to purchase the
following:
up to 1,458,584 of its common shares, being 5 per cent of the common shares
issued and outstanding as of Nov. 28, 2002.
Purchases will be made on the open market through the facilities of the
TSX. Purchases pursuant to the bid may begin Dec. 2, 2002. The bid expires
no later than Dec. 1, 2003.
