Sharon hasn't done anything in the last year that Barak, who offered the Palestinians a lot in 2000, doesn't support. I don't understand what your issue is with Sharon. He's shown extreme restraint. Nobody's massacring Palestinians. Israel is taking out gunmen and terrorists. The ratio of collateral damage to enemy damage is not much worse, if at all, to the U.S.'s in Afghanistan.

Z, I have said before, and I don't think I am the only one who sees it this way, but Sharon seems to intentionally provoke the Palestinians. In addition, I don't think he has the makings of a good leader. If you want a conservative hawk, it seems to me that Netanyahu would better fit the bill.
