I did not see anyone recommend this yet: "Commanding Heights," a three part series on PBS. First part was last Wednesday, part two will be 4/10/02, third part 4/17/02. If you missed the first part, you can watch it via the 'net on Quicktime. pbs.org It's about the fight between free marketers, embodied by Hayek and Milton Friedman, and those who believe in planned economies, embodied by Keynes, Marx, et al. Lots of good stuff about Hayek and Keynes, and good stuff about the British economy after WW2 and then Iron Maggie. Yet to come, globalization and WTO and all that. Truly excellent. On a fairly high intellectual level.
