I sure do G and I maintain now, just as then, that Mr. Neff is going to get burnt shorting AMAT at the beginning of another up cycle.

Like AD I have actually shorted AMAT on a DT and ST basis since January. I made some money and lost some too. At this point I believe maintaining a long term short position in this stock is a highly questionable move now.

One has to wonder if Barron's is not attempting to give Mr. Neff a way out of his position?

Yes the semi equipment group is at extremely high P/E levels but not believing it can go higher could prove very expensive.

I still think that within technology virtually every other industry is less inviting and predictable to long term investors. Semiconductors are needed in virtually every form of technology so a small recovery in any industry growing to a larger one will definitely benefit the semi equipment stocks.

Keep me updated on your progress with the Bollinger Band book. They are my favorite indicators when used in conjunction with RSI.
