HI Fred, OTOTOT

I am fortunate to fish/hunt Prince William Sound every year.I have a friend who fished commercially in that area and owns a smaller boat now.

Thru conservation the City of Valdeze has quintupled the silver salmon population of their area's migration.

I also fish the waters of Lake Michigan. As a boy - the fish population al but went away as the result of pollution and unatural species introduction(destroyed the lakes food stocks).Today Lake Michigan has the most vibrant fisheries in decades.

The environmentalists viewpoints too often are those of uninformed alarmists.I for one like to listen to the opinions of the hunters - those who truly care about a sports survival and the enhancement of the resources populations.

Polluters greed for money and our own(human beings) track record of reaping a resource is just too littered with failure.

Conservation and the preservation of the natural animalstocks is where I place my attention.

Many of the protestors have deep hidden agenda's that never surface.I think the states Department of Natural Resources (and to a lesser degree Federal) are where my ear goes and money goes too.

Alask's greatness as a tourism mecca with hunting and fishing evolving into one of it's greatest businesses is proof that we've got it right.

It's past history has been more the reaping and theft of its resources.

We've come a long way and need to go further.

I become calloused to the environmentalist alarming cries. If their credibility improved I'd listen more.

In between I love visiting our planet in its far off corners.

Have a great sunday.

Bob
