wbmw, I think the Pally can probably go even higher in .18 but I think heat issues will creep in. I know my Pally gets quite hot and I have good cooling ( loud ) on it.

No doubt they are. But that still doesn't exempt them from having speed path problems. Maybe I am the only one that sees this, but AMD is pushing their .18u process very far to compete with Intel's .13u process, and that leaves them wide open for problems similar to the 1.13GHz Pentium III. I give them the benefit of the doubt, and figure that they probably realize this, but they are still taking a larger risk with speed grades that have to be hand picked.

OTOH, there are 7 pages of XP 2100+ on PW, which is kind of a clue on 2100+ proportion vs other speed grades. Also, AMD is quite good at improving the potential clockspeed with new steppings. Anyway, 1.8 GHz on .18u gets way too hot... .13 is strongly needed. I expect an update on TBred on CC with a lunch shortly after. If it isn't launched by mid-may, there is definitely a production problem. My guess is that they're having stepping problems similar to the ones Palomino had (scaling less than the TBird at launch)
