How does that gateway work when your on the road ???

Very well... I do my traveling in an RV and there are several places I stop that there is a phone line available but not in a location that I can plug it into the bus. So there I can just plug in the gateway and use the computer up to 1,750 feet away. (That is what the manufacture says. I have not tried to go that far.) One good example is a place I spend a fair amount of time and they have a phone line in the laundry room. Before the wireless I would have to sit in there to spend time on the internet. Now I can go back to my "home" or sit outside and be much more comfortable.

It should work the same from a hotel room. You could wander down by the pool or in to the bar and surf the net.

The gateway is small enough to pack. 6x8x1.5" approximately, and weighs a pound or so.

Before I went to the wireless I was using Intel anypoint 1MB phoneline networking. Problems were blamed on that system but it turned out that it was the Sprint Broadband connection that was the demon. I probably would not have upgrades to wireless had I realized that, but am now very pleased with this system.

Your $45 price per PC sounds very reasonable. If I remember correctly I paid around $80 per PC for the Intel setup.

I do understand how one can end up with so many PC's. I am getting close to ordering my 4th Dell. Still have the three Dells but gave away the H-P's I had before these.
