Combjelly, Scumbria's post had to do with Cell Based designs and getting faster turn-around time with design changes, and I agree with him. However, you had used the term "individually hand-crafted transistor(s)" to describe Intel's custom libraries. I see now that you meant what Scumbria was talking about, but your choice of semantics indicated to me that you were trying to summarize something you heard second hand, without really understanding it.

Either way, Scumbria does not say anything about cell based designs resulting in larger die sizes, greater power levels, or lower bug counts. Those were your interpretations, and I don't think they are correct.
