Dan, Re: "Look at the lower of these two viewgraphs presented by AMD 5 months ago at their analyst conference...You may have to expand the lower image in an editor to see it clearly."

No kidding, Dan. LOL!

I wouldn't squint too hard at that PowerPoint slide... you might start seeing things that aren't there.

"It clearly shows a chip with a small speed increase (2100+ to 2200+) being available in April of 2002. Then a larger speed bump comes in July of 2002 (when Thoroughbred appears on shelves)... AMD has been perfectly on schedule with both the 2100+ and 2200+ introductions planned 6 months ago."

Nevermind my previous comment. Looks like you've already stared at the PowerPoint slide for far too long. <ggg>

Dan, re: "AMD has been perfectly on schedule with both the 2100+ and 2200+ introductions planned 6 months ago."

Well, not really perfect. The desktop M2200 was initially noted for 1Q02 but deferred to 2Q02 per AMD's more detailed roadmaps collected here: home.attbi.com

EDIT: I do see the little bump you note in the Analyst conference slide. I do hope that AMD continues with the steeper slope indicated in that graph but also wonder about the one quarter slide on the M2400 and that they still project a M2800 for Tbred/Barton in 4Q02 despite the other desktop shifts.
