Vajpayee's broken heart

Extract:
Why Modi deserves Nishan-i-Pakistan
By M. J. Akbar
Narendra Modi has done enough by now to win the highest honour that a nation can give. Not our nation. What the chief minister of Gujarat truly deserves is the Nishan-i-Pakistan. There are at least two Indians who, to my knowledge, have received this high honour from Islamabad, the late Morarji Desai and Dilip Kumar.

<<Vajpayee's tortured mind and heart sings this song: JPR's note.>>
(I cannot sing a song. The masks are off; the wounds are deep; the mystery is gone; I am afraid of truth; I cannot sing a song. The eye is evil; the city of glass is shattered; even among my own I cannot find my love. The knife in the back is like a moon, and Rahu has crossed the line; instead of salvation I find myself in shackles. I cannot sing a song.)

JPR's note:

Actually, significant elements among the French, the Israelis, the British and the Islamphobics around the world are expressing a vicarious satiation and pleasure at what the Hindu mobs did to the innocent Muslims of India as a response to the rabid torching of the train carrying Hindu pilgrims. Shock at the pogrom is a feigned response from these people. Now Vajpayee can't show a face of peace and amity to the people and nations he will be visiting. The Islamphobics even admire such a response though they are incapable of reciprocating such tit for tat murderous blow . It is always the case from the time of partition of India to the present day that Hindus won't tolerate any violation at the hands of the minorities, be they siks or muslims or whatever. It is as though that the minorities can live in peace with the Hindus provided they behave within the democratic norms at the generosity of Hindus, and if they decided other murderous actions, the Hindus won't wait for the judicial system to dispense justice: they are ready and willing to take ten eyes for one eye and ten deaths for one death. It is sad but true. The days of Muslim hotheads are over and they should learn to get along with their neighbors. It is a monumental studpidity on the part of the Godhra muslims to torch the train bearing Hindu pilgrims.
Vajpayee's heart aches for every suffering and dead Indian and there is no question about it. His song is a testimony to his suffering.

Vajpayee is a moron (if you don't believe this, ask the khakhi-saffron gang). Pakistan has not signed any "no first-use of nuclear weapons pact". So what is all this nonsense about "they promised this" and stuff. It has offered to sign the "no war pact", which is a different kettle of fish. Like NATO during the Cold War, Pakistan wants to retain the option of a nuclear first-strike if circumstances warrant. And like the Warsaw Pact nations then, India will have to squirm and shut up. (Maybe that explains why the Hindu hardliners are taking out their anger on innocent minorities within India).
