I am sorry, but Israel is not a Dictatorship that practices communal punishment. The guilty parties can surrender, and if not than they die in battle, their families should not be part of the punishment, unlike what is happening in the neighboring Arab state. Israel has to answer to "a higher authority" and thus a higher moral standard.

My understanding of the reports from the area is that so far in 8 days of fighting in seven major towns, less than 20 civilian were collateral casualties. I don't know of any "police action" of that or longer length that we in the US were involved with, with collateral civilian casualties in a hose to house operation were lower, not even Grenada, or Panama or Haiti. Surely not Afghanistan nor Iraq. ow come the media is so silent on the paucity of collateral casualties?
