It has nothing to do with how "righteous" a nation they are. They put their messiah to death, yet God made certain promises anyway. The promises concern the actual nation and land mass. Of course, if one does not believe the Bible to be the actual "word of God", then you are correct, they have nothing to fear. However, if people will read the prophecies with an open mind, they cannot deny what is happening. This, in turn, will make one tremble at the potential actions of America's leaders. You can, however, only die once, but I for one, would like to never die, but to simply fly.

America's fate certain doesn't rest upon us defending Israel.

Geographically Israel is important to the US.

How ever i believe if any administration has tried to be fair to both sides it certainly is evident that Mr Bush is definitely not one sided and I believe he is not thinking in terms of military positioning and the US but peoples and their right to land.
