alan,

In 1967, Nasser put two divisions of ill equipped troops into the Sinai. This can only be considered a provocation in the same light as the other completely fabricated justification for aggression in SouthEast Asia, i.e. the Tonkin Gulf incident, leading to a completely cynical manipulation of the U.S. Senate by LBJ and the Joint Chiefs in order to create the U.S.'s most ill conceived foreign mis-adventure.

Just as the Tonkin Gulf Resolution was based on a lie, so was the Israeli justification for their bold faced aggression in 1967.

I'm just trying to get at the truth. I hope you are doing the same in attempting to reach your political conclusions.

All the best, Ray
