Re: Extremely interesting choice of words.

What I'm attempting to do is to clarify the true nature of Israel's racism and colonialist imperialism, and convince myself that they are not as evil as they are appearing to me. Until Sharon came into office, I was willing to give the Israelis the benefit of the doubt. Since Sharon has come to power, it is clear that there has been a power shift within Israel toward a more aggressive Settlements policy, and a cynical effort to create impenetrable encirclements of the Palestinian cities with the "bypass" roads from settlement to settlement in the West Bank. This is clearly designed to imprison the Palestinians in small island environments that don't communicate freely with other Palestinian communities. All of this is in total contravention and utter disregard for the Geneva Convention accords on the disposition of occupied territories. The Israelis are breaking the law, being immoral and unethical and lying to the world about it. They are propagandizing their land grab as a necessary defense of their homeland. They are saying black is white and up is down. They are largely getting away with it because of the sympathies within the U.S. polity. This is regrettable, because it is such a lie.
