Ted
you won, I think we should arm plo better than Israel. Put few Thermonuclear Ballistic Missiles and aim them at major cities of Israel and US. What the hell lets add Russia, China, England, France, Germany, etc We have to aim because it would take yet few years of training before they would be capable of doing it themselves.
Israel will no longer be able to send send its tanks against innocent terrorists, heros that is.

and don't forget to program in a message of love each time they press the red button

>Z, there was nothing more disturbing to me as a kid when I found out what happened to the Jews during WWII, and how the US and Europe did nothing while Hitler set up his final solution for European Jewry. Having said that, the world, and more specifically Europe and the US have paid over and over again for their indifference. To bring this up now is a cheap shot.

>Israel is a successful, well off country with considerable military clout in its region. Its actions need to be evaluated from that perspective and not from the perspective of what happened over 60 years ago. Its unfair to all concerned.

>Just as I don't think we should be manipulated by Arafat's candlelight vigil; I don't think we should allow our thinking biased by the events of WWII.

I don't think that he meant it the way you think he did... what he meant was that the world has turned a blind eye to Jews being killed before, and it could happen again. I honestly didn't think it could, until the UN conference on racism last summer. The Arabs, including Arafat and Mubarak, tried to turn it into a conference on "Zionism as Racism", bearing posters of Jews with fangs and drinking blood and things like that... only the U.S. and Canada strongly objected, if i recall correctly, and many non-Arabs got into it.
