Either different leaders or make sure present leaders get progressive on these new priorities. For Republicans, this means saying "no" to some of the Big Oil money and making clean fuel part of the GOP platform as well. have both parties compete to see who can get us cleanest faster without costing jobs. This process could take awhile but many moderate Republicans are already with it. One big reason Jeffords switched parties.

When we're arguing about whether or not to disrupt and damage our last remaining wilderness areas just to go after at most 4 months supply of oil which may or may not even be there (no one knows yet, the one exploratory well data is highly secret), then it's time to "chart another cource and find another source". (nice slogan I'll send along to the Kerry camopaign people).

American wil only be a true super power once it uses its wealth and technology to free itself from having to do business with those who seek to harm or exploit us. And if Saudi Arabia ever falls to fundamentalists like its native son Bin Lauden + Company, let's be prepared.

It is truly frightening that many average educated people in the Arab world actually admire Bin Lauden. That is an alarm going off we need to hear.
