Hi Mike,

So Rigel licensed Blau's lac Z complementation? It is an interesting system(I thought about toying with it @ one time). Probably be a useful tool to screen protein interaction...as where there is no interaction, you don't get any staining(except background). But where there is interaction you get a dark blue stain. Although since you have to fix the cells before staining, you can't view live cells(@ least when I looked into it)...(I'm going off of a fuzzy memory, ya know...new stuff in...old stuff out >gg<...so bwdik?).

Do you think there will be anything particularly interesting @ ASGT this year?

Best of luck,

SS

Mike:

1. I'm swamped, and

2. way out of my league.

Glad to see that Collin got engaged on the subject. Snow must be crusty or sumthin.......

:-)

Also...... same re. your post to T/FIF..... may not get to it until next week?

Meeting with two interesting startups tomorrow, one of which I'll be sitting there letting stuff go whoooooosh over head.

Cheers! Rick
